Welcome Home Direct Play:
The story is… fine. I was devastated when it didn’t live up to the hype but the gameplay completely carries it through the awkward story. The story although sh*tty and worse than the first game had a very good concept, the music is better compared to the first game (It actually has combat music now), the gore feels more authentic, it tried to feature some things related to humanity’s downfall and human nature (although not exactly philosophical and educating, it’s not cringey) Some combat skills require multiple button presses and are very situation dependent, making you forget you unlocked them in the first place and are tedious to trigger. There are many details missing that were present in the first game, like for example: low level zombies looked almost clean while high level zombies were in an advanced state of decomposition. Here all the zombies look the same.
