You’re a car with legs! Race through hundreds of unique levels: jump, fly with jetpacks, climb tall buildings, deliver packages, and do pretty much everything you can’t do in a normal racing game. It’s not all about the need for speed. Explore the many islands to meet new friends, find hidden treasures or solve quirky puzzles. Hint: Look behind the waterfalls! You will be racing, but it’s never what you expect. Hint: Just go with the flow You’ll be flipping burgers, fishing, swimming, and singing CAR-aoke! If anything it’ll make you worse. No one on the development team even owns a car. What the hell is a clutch? This is a really fun game! I’ve already spent HOURS playing this with my kids, and found myself returning on my own to see what sort of quirky mix of gameplay mechanics and puns was just around the corner. Amazing game filled to the brim with dad-puns, cars that never does what you think they’ll do, and tons of environmental humour to take in as you do anything but drive normally through the world – highly recommended! Now I found myself having a hard time criticising this game. Not because there isn’t anything wrong with it. But How do I seriously review a game that does not want to be taken seriously? The physics in this game can be inconsistent at times, but part of it’s inconsistency allows for weird fun sandbox things to happen.

The inconsistency is part of its charm. Same with the music. It is just kinda wacky, I don’t particularly like it but it does its job to sell the strangeness of the game. Sometimes I feel like the differences between the levels gimmicks are a little too derivative of the ones that came before, but at that point am I just thinking about this game too much? It is a game that is meant to be dumb fun! And I am having dumb fun! Now I realised that I was overthinking things. The only metric that matters when it comes to reviewing this game is the same thing that matters when I look at any game I review. Is this game worth your money? Absolutely!
