The combat in this game is second to none, flawless, and I have yet to play a game with better combat aspects than Sekiro. The fights are very intense, demanding attention, reflexes, and most importantly dedication and patience. The learning curve may appear daunting initially, but the satisfaction when it finally clicks is immense. The game plays very fairly. When you die, it’s not because of some cheap reason, you understand your fault, you learn and conquer. This game has exceptional boss fights, and they exist to challenge everything you’ve learned throughout the game. While some of them may seem unforgiving, you can overcome them, and you will! Delivering the final deathblow to an opponent is a feeling that never gets old. If you are still having a hard time with the game, then all you have to do is not give up. Also, remember not to hesitate in a battle.

The combat feels difficult at first, but when things start to click you will feel like a badass. There’s a good amount of depth and variety to the combat/encounters, but succeeding boils down to a few factors: reading the enemy, perfect parrying, the mikiri counter, and an aggressive play-style.
