Don’t touch her babies!! The ball is bigger and the pace/speed is slower, not in a way that makes it “easier”, necessarily, but very much more ‘playable’. In Demon’s Tilt it often feels like you’re just watching the game happen and hoping, more than directing/playing it, that feeling is mostly gone here. The sound mixing is still strange; the announcer still sounds like you’re hearing someone with a strange accent or lisp talk to you through a 2-way radio; clear enough without music but often garbled and lost when the soundtrack is really pumping. It’s a small gripe because mostly (not always) the voice line is accompanied by text on-screen as well, but aesthetically it’s just awkward.

The playfield zone with the mech that rotates when you hit the targets really gets busy and I tend to lose the ball in this area when there is a lot of bullet hell happening. I haven’t drained the ball as a result yet, but I definitely did need to quickly search the playfield to see where it had ended up. And I play with ball trails on so even with the tail following the ball, you can still sometimes lose it. The second video pinball release from WIZNWAR / Flarb! XENOTILT builds well on the frantic, multi-table mechanics of DEMON’S TILT while adding some new features to spice things up. Balls can be locked into an “upgrade matrix” that grants bonuses and buffs during that credit, and small enemies and objects can be destroyed using miniguns and lasers that deploy from the flippers.
