YAR: Forgotten Throne is an open-world action RPG developed by Honor Games, released in Early Access in July 2024. The game is set in a fantasy world inspired by Eastern European (Boreyian) mythology, where players explore a large, free-roaming environment filled with forests, mountains, dungeons, and ancient ruins while uncovering a story about a conflict threatening the Boreyian people. The gameplay focuses heavily on freedom and role-playing. Players can choose different paths such as becoming a warrior or a mage, and these choices affect how the story develops. The world is designed to be explored without strict limits, allowing players to take on quests, discover hidden artifacts, fight enemies, and interact with mythological characters. Combat includes melee weapons, bows, magic spells, and various abilities, while character progression lets players level up, improve skills, and customize their playstyle.
