From the perspective of someone who played and loved the original on mobile, Yotsume God Reunion is definitely worth getting even if you’ve already played it. It fixes a number of translation errors and awkward puzzles that were present in the original (though there are still a few typos here and there), and the extra CGs and voice lines add a LOT to the emotional experience of the game. The “special edition” storyline is particularly good imo and 100% makes me wanna cry. The best comparison I can make for how the story makes me feel is that it evoked a similar emotional response as watching “Your Name” did: somewhat bittersweet and bound to make me think about the implications for the next week straight. As for the puzzles, they’re not too hard, and the hint + answer system works well when you do get stuck. The only part I had trouble with was a final puzzle in the special edition story (which I then felt very stupid for not getting right away). It’s also got a gorgeous soundtrack that really helps set the scene.

Luckily someone post the answer in the forum which save me quite some time. OP/ED music and BGM are on point with the story setting plus they are soothing to the ear. I’m still looping this on my Spotify playlist rn. Art, Movie, Cinematic and Animation are of a superb quality. Smooth gesture & facial expression transition blessed my eyes uwu. I don’t particularity know any of the voice actor here, but SEEC did a great job finding one that match and able to give life to the character so I am grateful for that. Will definitely and gladly buy all the game that SEEC will release in the future.
