This game gives the feeling of original FF7-era jrpg adventure games. Instead of roaming around though, you progress by reshaping the landscape via merging, hacking, breaking etc. I’ve never played an adventure game with a puzzle-based progression method before, so it was a pleasant surprise. It’s free, and it’s a delight to fire up and relax to. You haven’t vibed until you’ve forged an axe to chop down a tree only to merge the acorns back into a full-grown tree again, being left with an unchopped tree and one broken axe. It’s beautiful, it’s like gaining something out of nothing. And in the spirit of relaxing, can I just say how close the MergeCrafter background music is to the end-credits OST of Frictional Games’s Soma? I was right on the verge of existential panic and inner peace the whole time!
MergeCrafter Pre-Installed:
As a player who has found this game since the very first alpha versions, I can say that it is developing and more and more new features, interesting events, new biomes, items and other interesting items are being added to it. It would also be interesting to see the unification of PickCrafter and MergeCrafter games because they are in the same universe. Well we will see… The steam version has one big drawback unlike Android and iOS, it’s the energy system and balloons, by costing runic and not possible to reloading fast, the game can get boring quickly, as it was with me, but gradually the interest returns. Also, I was often confused by the question of a small tedium of the game in the monotonous development, which gradually begins to build on the passage of dungeons, the creation of objects, weak promotion and again. It would not be bad to add more action to the game so that players can be interested in it, for example, some kind of plot or more interactive characters. The style of Minecraft perfectly suits this game and the developers have worked hard with it! The sound component is a little sparse, but mostly maintains the basic tone of the game. The gameplay, as I have already said, is different for each player, someone can quickly get bored, and someone will really like it.
