Bus Simulator 27 puts players in charge of a public transport operation in Felicia Bay, an invented sunny region of southern Europe whose architecture, coastline and street life draw heavily on Spain and Portugal. The map covers two connected cities, Alcaztelar and Mequina, split into twenty distinct districts that run from dense old town blocks to industrial outskirts, beaches and open countryside, with recognizable landmarks scattered throughout. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the region shifts through a full day and night cycle and changing weather while traffic and pedestrians fill the roads around the bus. The vehicle roster is the largest the series has offered, with more than forty-five licensed models drawn from thirteen well known manufacturers. Rigid single deckers, articulated buses, double deckers and modern electric models all appear, and long distance coaches join the line up for the first time, opening up intercity work alongside the usual urban routes. The goal is simple: win back local confidence in public transport.

Three modes shape the experience. Story follows a scripted campaign, Career leaves progression to the player’s own pace, and Sandbox removes the constraints entirely. Behind the wheel, the work involves keeping to timetables, handling doors and ticketing, and reacting to incidents on board or accidents blocking the road ahead. Away from driving, a management layer covers designing routes, setting schedules, recruiting and assigning drivers, expanding the garage and dressing vehicles in custom wraps and advertising to bring in extra revenue. Players can also swap roles, working a shift as a ticket inspector, riding along as an ordinary passenger, or stepping off entirely to wander Felicia Bay on foot in search of viewpoints and hidden collectibles. Up to four people can run a company together in online co-op, with crossplay so groups are not split by platform. Steering wheels and gamepads are supported, and community mods extend the content further on PC. The result is a transport sim that balances careful, unhurried driving with the business of building a network across a sunlit coastal region.
