My group played way longer than expected, and though the controls are kinda weird, that disappears when you grab a controller (Though the default controller bindings bound Start to Select for some reason), and with a 12 player limit, it’s really nice to have a game that the group can still play even if literally EVERYONE is online.
That said, please enable remote play to make playing as a group a little easier, and if there happened to be a web / mobile version eventually available that’d make a big difference, at least for my group You play a pirate captain or crew member in a short tug-of-war where it is your goal to win by one of 5 objectives. This leads to a fun and hectic experience were you have to divide your attention- Loading up cannonballs, protecting your captain and stop your precious treasure from getting stolen to name a few. Recommended to play with some friends. The game play is solid and easy to understand, leads to fun arcade-styled game play with matches ranging between 1 to 2 minutes. At time of writing the review the online player base is near non-existent and therefore it is difficult to match up. Though the few matches I have had with people there were no connection drops and input was crisp.
