Upload Simulator is a game about downloading and uploading files in exchange for credits and reputation. To speed up your progression you can purchase and upgrade your components for even faster connection speed and storage size. Use hack abilities to speed up your journey Collect random artifacts that will grant you huge benefits Research new technologies using the Research Facility Automate your components production with the Manufactory Generate electricty and overclock your components with the Overclocker Prestige for huge benefits Over 60 achievements Man, this game takes me back to my IRL Napster days, when you really needed to have an extensive data collection already before you got access to certain rooms and sources. And seriously, who doesn’t remember instant classics like “Ancient Furry Slaughter”, “Depressing Bimbo Chase”, or hit sequels like “Insane Flatulence – The Revenge”.
As for the game itself, it’s your typical mobile idler, with the usual balance issues. Progression slows down considerably, and there are even still Help files and (in-game) achievements linked to Ads, which are of course not included in the Steam version. The music is really nice, but it could use a few more tracks in the rotation, and there are some stretches without any music at all. beautiful to look at and progression is as it should be. I mean, do a few upgrades, go afk, come back and upgrade some more unlocking features, etc. Progression is a bit slow. I’m at e14 credits 4 hours in, but it feels worth in the long run. It might have faster progression later on and I’ll edit my review if so.
