ELEGIES: Aya is a modern-day thriller visual novel. Zach’s house is burning down. Even though he manages to escape from the fire, his parents are less fortunate. After losing consciousness, he wakes up in the hospital, where he meets an energetic, friendly girl named Aya. But there is more to Aya than what meets the eye, for it turns out that she’s . . . a ghost! What’s the deal with Aya, and why can only Zach see her? Join Zach and Aya on their journey of overcoming trauma and discovering the mysteries surrounding Aya’s past. Only by working together can they conquer the difficulties they soon will face. Zach lost his family in a fire. After waking up in the hospital, he meets ghost Aya who helps him overcome his trauma. Together, they embark on a journey to investigate past, the truth behind Aya’s death and uncover a dark conspiracy involving an unknown organization that will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.
I liked this game! I’d definitely recommend it to everyone. This is a well-written touching novel. It has a beautiful art, pleasant music, great English voice acting, two different endings, well-developed characters and excellent storyline keeping you hooked. Of course the game has a few negatives, but they are insignificant I almost didn’t write them down, but here they go: first of all lot of gear you pick up is useless. Think of swords and armor. It’s just to sell them for money. Actually I should say it it a reverse way; too little gear is useful. You only have to settle with a relative few sets of gears and the rest is scrap. The second is the UI, but with some mods it will be just fine.

The third and final complaint would be the combat. Is not that awesome as much as I would have thought or wanted, they could have done better. This game does so many things right. For example every character has a backstory. Without giving away spoilers, imagine you find a potential treasure, a dead body and a letter nearby. Read it and you will learn the poor bastard was tricked or possibly robbed underway, often a sad story but it gives you clue where to find the real treasure – which was a gift to his new bride to be waiting for him to show up. So now you have a background story and a clue to a treasure. It’s so well done, each and every time again.
