I also found the first game to be more memorable but I propably enjoyed this one much more because it just felt way more polished and more fun to play.

I really like that they stayed with the linear platforming of the original games. While I think Crash has the potential to work with gameplay akin to Jack and Daxter or Banjo Kazooie, this format really fits him the best. They extended the gameplay in so many ways: rail grinding, wall running, new crates, and best of all, new masks that provide really fresh platforming challenges! They did an amazing overhaul, and especially with the myriad of world- and level themes, the platforming feels fresh all the way through.
