You are a popular Urbex vlogger whose channel revolves around exploring abandoned and “paranormal” places. For your newest video, you are going to film in a vacant and decaying mansion in which, many years earlier, a horrific tragedy occurred. However, you quickly come to realize that things are a bit different from your other expeditions. The stories about this home seem to be true… The Dire is a psychological found footage horror game that revolves around main character Dean Holt and a dark and deserted mansion. You will explore the grim history of the decrepit home and experience first hand what has been left inside of it all these years The gameplay is mostly first person narrative walking simulator with elements of exploring, and interacting with enviroment. The game is very fun to play, but a little confusing at times. At first I couldn’t find a way to progress futher in the game. I walked around the house over and over, and eventually I found the item i needed.
The game looks amazing for a game that was made In 2 months by one person. Because I got the game In early access there were some minor bugs, but nothing that would ruin the experience. It also had a few scary moments that made me jump. This game is legit, my only 2 cents for the Dev is that the sequencing for some of the monologue could be tweaked so that if you walk too fast there isn’t a huge overlap of talking by the main character. If you walk straight from the front door to the code pieces of paper/trigger for the clock ticking event and then walk straight back upstairs and trigger the phone, you basically overlap a lot of monologue and triggers, a quick to move player might just miss out on some of the story. Also think it would be cool if something happens if you walk towards the silhouette in ending 5.
The Dire Free Steam Pre-Installed:
I like this one for the most part. The vloggin’ aspect adds to the exploration. This is a horror game it its core. The urbex scene lends itself well to this genre. I like that the game is voice acted as well. Would have liked for a cutscene in place of the black background with text at the start of game. One of the best games that I’ve ever experienced in my life. I don’t know if it’s just for me or everyone, but I never get tired of this amazing game and its unique gameplay and I can spend Very fun with friends and the devs are great and continue to update the game. The whole rework of the game was fun to figure out and play. The lore Is also confusing, but once you understand It, It’s actually pretty good.
