Money and materials are plentifully and endlessly available. The game sorely lacks any sense of challenge, urgency or worst of all, motivation to any of the actions we do, with the ending offering no payoff. I was even more surprised when I learned, that there are multiple ending. And both of them are, again, incredibly lovecraftian.

I am currently on my 2nd playthrough and it is well worth your time, because you will pick up on clues that you did not catch during your first time playing. The gameplay loop is incredibly simple. Go out fishing, sell the fish, upgrade your ship and get back out there. At first it seemed like nothing special, but it is very addicting. Pretty much every time I play the game, the feeling of “just one more fishing trip” is allways present. Often preventing me from turning off the game. You will not find any jumpscares or classic horror elements like demons, murderers or something along those lines. All the tension and unease is created by atmosphere alone. If that is not your cup of tea, I do not recommend this game to you.
