I am actually really enjoying this game, I am someone who loves all things transport, logistics, economy, Tycoon. if that’s the sort of thing you like you may well enjoy this. Its a slow relaxing game, planning out the trips for your ships, managing different aspects of them and trying to get the most profitable trip. for example I may have a contract from Brisbane Australia to Felixstowe England. but it might only take a fraction of the ships capacity, so now you need to plan how to make the most of this trip, look at the ships route and ports it will pass, so I might pick up a few more contracts. Now my ship will stop at Egypt, Portugal, France to offload and hopefully pick up an additional contract that works with the route, and then finally Felixstowe. so with that methodical planning you have made that trip 10 times more lucrative. for me that is very enjoyable. The game has a few things that need improvement for example the ai competitors are pretty useless and cant seem to make a profit and go bankrupt pretty easily. A few other minor things but nothing really worth mentioning.

A few control adjustments would make it soooo much better. WASD map controls, map movement should be right mouse button, not left, though that could just be my preference. ESC key needs to pull up and dismiss the game menu in every single scene. When viewing a ship in port, there should be a much more intuitive way to switch back to the map view. Took me five minutes to figure out which is enough time to kill someone’s interest in a game. Making movement between screens and info panels too unintuitive is the quickest way to loose to loose casual players. Also, maybe a bug, but one of the percentages at the top doesn’t have a working tooltip like the others. As for the gameplay: It needs more progression instead of the same loop just with bigger ships. I need some reason to not max out the QOL stuff or hire the best crew. Maybe certain larger ports you have to unlock by paying money, having reputation, or delivering certain contracts to certain places. That’s sort of in the game with the letter rating, but it poses no challenge whatsoever.
