MiceGard Video Game is an adventure game where you’ll play as mouse-vikings. Immerse yourself in a unique world inspired by Scandinavian mythology. MiceGard is not the most complex game in the world, but that plays to its strengths. The gameplay is fairly simple with the odd minigame to spice things up, the plot isn’t too hard to follow, and you can easily finish the game in a single sitting. The strongest point for the game is by far its art with each and every character wonderfully drawn While the game could stand to have one or two more music tracks, the existing ones were pleasant to listen to as well. That’s a pretty decent game right here! The art and the audio are absolutely on point. It’s such an eyecandy I aint even gonna lie – graphics sold this game for me. Gameplay itself is rather simple but the game implements an interesting concept. Besides of squad-gameplay there are occasional mini games and the hub in which you can restore destroyed buldings in order to get upgrades – reminds a bit of Bastion.Nice to see on the game map the progress of the story and how much more there is to explore. Atypical plot and interesting combat. Feels the spirit of mobile games from the button era.
Of course, there are moments that I did not quite like such as stone management and imbalance of combat stacks in some cases. immediately captivated by the visual style of the game. Animations of the characters, their portraits, the surrounding mouse world – everything is done very beautifully and sincerely. In terms of gaming, this is a very simple but enjoyable game. Your task is to rebuild the hometown of mice and save the remaining inhabitants. In control is a small squad of mice, with different stances and battle/defense tactics. The musical accompaniment also did not disappoint. All items have sounds, and the background battle theme really stucks. There are only 16 levels in which we will fight with 4 types of enemies. Some levels will have special mechanics, and at the end there will be one boss fight. The toy is really low-budget, it takes 2-3 hours to complete. Normal entertainment for the evening if you like not too dynamic battles and parallel grinding. The plot is classic medieval – an evil frog uncle stole the mice’s babies and destroyed their city, let’s declare war on him and win, because we are brave, worthy, sincere and generally cool.

We control Micen, a brave mouse warrior, 5 mouse warriors accompany us. The 6 mice share the same hit points. There are 3 formations to take into account: What I like to consider as Free: Each mouse will do what they consider appropriate (They don’t stray too far from you). You move faster and it’s a good formation when there are no enemies on screen The Offensive Formation: Where 3 of your warriors will protect the three straggling mice with bows. Short story of furry Norse heroes. One-evening experience of heroism and mystery! Capricious Gods and eldritch magic. Choose wisely for even mouse’s choice matters! Furious battles and cunning tactical challenges. Protect your village and kin – but watch out for dark conspiracies! Become the hero people want you to be – even if it is mice-people. Enjoy art created with love for mice and norse myths. Compatible with controller and keyboard and mouse of course.
