Strategically augment yourself with stronger abilities & power ups at the end of every level.
Scan the environment and loot defeated enemies for new weapons such a the cluster-firing-shotgun ‘Demolisher’ and the pin-point accurate ‘Plasma Bow’ as you traverse The Arc. Utilise permanent nanite upgrades to attach modifications to increase damage and equip multiple weapons. enjoyable pick up and play/one more run type of game. Definitely has a Risk of Rain 2 gameplay feel but without the 50 million skills popping off all the time. Difficulty is pretty forgiving unless you enjoy running head first into projectiles like I’m known to do. Each guns feels different to one another and the same gun you find may boost an augemnt/perk that you currently have. Can easily recommend giving it a try especially given the fact you can get a couple of friends to join your exploits.
ArcRunner Direct Play:
Very challenging, fights require you to be precise in movement and aiming. Upgrades are effective but don’t cater to a broken playstyle, much more geared towards giving you more options in combat based upon your situational awareness. Each weapon has it’s purpose and can be buffed really only by one aspect (Weapons have an affinity towards one of your four major upgrade slots) which at first was strange, but when you find a weapon you like to use have the affinity of an upgrade you are currently building it feels /really/ good. Aesthetically the game is gorgeous, and blends together well with it’s soundtrack and sound effects. Make yourself even more advanced with by spending your collected ‘nanites’ & purchase powerful meta-progression upgrades in the cryochamber. Choose from a variety of improvements to increase damage, health, add weapon mod slots, and equip powerful augmentations to help you survive.
