While the natural habitat of Realia can be dangerous, being home to snakes and large predators, there are six factions for Saul to try to satisfy.
While these relationships begin neutral, completing missions can raise or lower your reputation with the Realian government, guerrillas, the mafia, native tribes, bandit groups, and even the CIA. But be careful, creating allies can lead to unrest and enemies elsewhere. This is a very under-appreciated classic that flew under the radar of so many when it first came out, it’s still a hidden gem not known by many. What we have here is an RPG like no other, there aren’t any ghouls and goblins, dragons and magic, it’s real life, Boiling Point is the overly ambitious, east-european jank-masterpiece of a Open World Shooter-RPG pretty much any other games wants to be. this is a game that respects the player’s choices – but it’s also deeply flawed.

It has a great and reactive open world that you don’t really see in many games, many interesting systems that interact with each other in interesting ways – but the game also struggles under the weight of its own ambition. the production values of this game is just straight up raw, and it’ll always be such; the sound system is messed up and weird, the lighting engine breaks randomly, the AI is uneven, and the game poorly explains many of its core systems, leaving the player to pick up the pieces this game will make you care about keeping your car in decent shape), you gotta worry about drug addiction, and working for one faction will lead to bad relations with another faction.
