Throwback shooter where gibing is required, and being near death is mandatory. Gibs give you ammo, and you can only heal when near death. The game will include 4 episodes, containing many maps. Like an adrenaline shot, these maps are made to be cleared in one go, as brutally as possible. Use your lead spitting arsenal to fend of waves of projectile blasting enemies, to survive in these old school bullet hell gauntlets. Sporting a hardcore industrial electronic soundtrack to get your adrenaline pumping, the bass will keep pumping while you’ve still got blood in your veins (or health in your bar). Inspired by the likes of Serious Sam and Duke Nukem 3D, this game is loyal to its roots, straight to the point, gory and action packed.
Don’t Bow is action packed and adrenaline fueled and insofar has been extremely entertaining with its engaging combat and soundtrack (devs please release the soundtrack. I love it). I’ve been having a ton of fun mowing down hoards of enemies with the meaty super shotgun and blazing akimbo SMGs or decimating crowds with the minigun and explosive Big Gun. I also love the art direction – the sort of stopmotion animation cycles of the enemies are very charming to me. I do have a few complaints/suggestions, but overall I think this is a great and super entertaining experience for a mere five bucks, but is deserving of some polish. I think some weapons, especially the bat, could benefit from meatier sounds. Going berserk would be a lot more badass if It really sounded like you were cleaving flesh from bone. Support the game developers by purchasing the game on Steam.

I think the game could benefit with better hit indicators – a bloodied screen or more of a shake come to mind. I tend to not be able to tell when I’ve been hit from behind or the side because the current screen shake is so minor compared to the rest of the blasts and gore happening on screen.I believe one of the hidden achievements (lost senses, gained strength) is bugged, as well as spread the pain. Or I’m stupid. These are personal nitpicks, but I think berserk should have a persistent red tint or blood splatter on screen and I like boomer shooters with more freedom of movement. A dodge or rush button could make the gameplay loop much more engaging and adrenaline fueled.
