Get DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake Switch NSP On PC
DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake Switch XCI When I played the first demo of what was then tentatively named Project Octopath Traveler back in 2017, I had no idea that it would not only turn out to be one of my favorite RPGs from Square Enix, but that the game’s aesthetic would later appear in some of the best titles the publisher has released in recent years, including Octopath Traveler II, Triangle Strategy, and the Live A Live remake. I read about Dragon Quest III’s 2014 mobile release, which was my first encounter with the game. I’ve since played it on the Nintendo Switch as well, but neither version offers a satisfying enough experience. Based on the mobile release, I thought Square Enix would simply port that Switch version to other devices, but what we have here is far superior in every aspect. Towers of Aghasba
When the Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake was revealed, I wasn’t sure if it would remain faithful to its origins, how its classic style would be translated to HD-2D, or what quality of life elements to anticipate. For this preview, I’ve had the opportunity to play the early hours of the final game on both the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck thanks to early codes provided by Square Enix. Having played all HD-2D games on all platforms since 2018, I’ll concentrate on how these two versions of the game feel. Don’t forget to read Josh’s and Adam’s previous previews of the remake from last month and June, respectively.
DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake Switch NSP From Steam:
As with Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, the HD-2D aesthetic has always seemed like an alternate timeline version of what things would have been like if Square Enix had kept improving its 2D RPGs from the 1990s using contemporary technology. One of the few remakes I’ve played that seems to strike the ideal balance between staying faithful to its history and offering contemporary conveniences is Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is ready to deliver this classic to a current audience while preserving all that made it a classic in the first place. These quality of life features can also be disabled if you want to play it with features comparable to the original.
