I certainly respect it but not sure I like it. The art style is wonderful and they do some impressive, creative things with it too. Music is very atmospheric. What doesn’t work for me at all is combat. Feels like it doesn’t even belong here and was added at the last minute. So obtuse and janky with the enemies that are not scary but just annoying. What’s worse, the main character, NPCs and the overall story don’t even acknowledge these enemies exist. Ugh, I just really disliked the combat here.
It uses scientific concepts and an explosion of visual beauty (plus an amazing soundtrack) to tell us something we all know but sometimes we struggle to accept, and to tell you what is this thing I’ll borrow Margot Lee Shetterly’s words: You can’t change history. These things happened the way they did. What you can change is how you look at it and how you understand that it takes the good moments and it takes the difficult moments to move forward Game is amazing. It does start off slow and confusing and there isn’t much gameplay as you explore through the earlier periods of the timeline, but as you go on the puzzle improves and the story starts going absolutely bonkers (takes a while tho). As all the pieces of the story and loose ends fall together it wraps up into a really sick experience that is hype af with really really cool visuals. If you wanna go big gamer mode this game doesn’t do that, but if you want a really cool visual trip that leaves you with complete philosophical wonderment and Noir excellence this game excels. Pick a low energy day to play this and just enjoy the ride, and also pick the right ending, don’t overthink it.

Their introduction is early and is a great way to ease the pain of dying over and over again. Cogs can be acquired by buying from merchants, crafting, and fishing. Yes, Fishing. Fishing is another way to improve your gameplay. It’s one way to get bolts, materials, and random cogs upon perfect timing, as well as a moment of respite from the fanatic combat.
