Adventures of the Night Chasers A long time ago, there used to be a mercenary group called the Night Chasers. Instead of making money, they went around helping people in need. During the war, they helped many people who were suffering. However, with the advent of peace, the Night Chasers were no longer needed and had to disband. But four young people, Zack, Lucien, Sid, and Odelia, decided to carry on their spirit and formed the new Night Chasers. In a mission, Zack and his party accidentally saved an elf girl named Dolores, but she couldn’t remember anything. Sid worried so much about this girl who traveled far from the Elf Kingdom to the humans’ territory. However, this is only the beginning of nightmare for the Night Chasers! Weaknesss and Resistances Pay attention to the enemy’s elemental resistances and find their weaknesses to swiftly defeat them. Hero Emblems 2 (HE) combines match-3 mechanics (think Bejeweled) with RPG elements (think Puzzle Quest) to deliver a beautifully presented, and solid side-scrolling adventure.
Hero Emblems II Direct Play:
There are two aspects to the game: The overworld, and combat, which for the most part, are both enjoyable. Where HE falls short however, is in how combat plays out. Combat involves combining three or more emblems to attack, with additional glowing emblems (when matching four, or two sets of three) or ultimate emblems (when matching five). Your party of 4, a warrior, mage, knight, and healer, play their own role (think damage dealers or supports), represented by unique emblem designs, equipment and skills. Unfortunately, there’s limited problem solving, and rarely did I need to engage in elements (purchasing buffs, exploiting elemental weaknesses, or switching party compositions) outside of simply matching three On the surface it appears you have a lot of choice, but as you progress you learn there’s no reason to mix and match as two offensive and two support members are a must to survive.
