your typical medieval life with choices to make, some curious twists and turns here and there. Nothing flabbergasting or far out there, although the latest update brought vampires to your castle – to spice things up. You rule as a Queen now, obviously, with King still present by your side, but most decisions are on you. There’s a possibility to rule alone, too – wink wink – and it’s harder to do, but manageable. There are *additional* romance options – in case you’re bored or no longer in love with your hubby – 4 colorful characters to spend your not-so-free time with, AND you can do them all simultaneously! Let your imagination run wild! Just don’t run it into trouble, alright.
There are games that encourage exploration, experimentation. Her Majesty forces you to do so. Literally. Or you can look up the guides instead. I did the latter. My uncontrollable urge to unlock all achievements with so many unintuitive choices being present in-game left me no choice. that randomness rules this game’s world: out of 45 characters there’s a particular one I’ve only met once during my 35 hours of playtime and 15+ (or more) walkthroughs. Once! How did it happen? What triggered their appearance? I have no idea. I don’t even remember how I met that mysterious creature, but I think it happened during my first time playing. I started back in 2018 when I bought it, completed it once. The game did reset, I freaked out of losing all the cards and starting all over and deleted it. Returned after a long break (in 2022) and this character was already unlocked. Never met them again.
