If you grew up watching classic toy movies and played with action figures, get ready for mass nostalgia! Hypercharge takes players back to the original drawing board of action shooters. You’ll find no pay to progress, weapon meta, or slide cancelling here. Just simple, light-hearted, casual fun! Work together as a team to defend the Hypercore. Grab a friend, break out of your toy packaging, and get ready to fight waves of classic toys. Prepare for each wave by searching for weapons, resources, and even hidden secrets. Not everybody likes to play online. Hypercharge supports Offline, Split-Screen and Local play. You can progress and unlock everything in-game while playing solo.
As an action figure / toy collector there is nothing to explain how much I love this , I love how they put amazing features ( packaging , skins customization, diorama etc) into the game that any real toy collector would love ! This is a perfect example of how to turn a mainstream game mode into unique , I am talking about the tower defense genre . And yes probably I am a little late to play this as a new game , but hell yeah ! still worth it in 2022 Remember Small Soldiers? The movie from the 90s? Imagine the story the soldiers THOUGHT they were in. Kick ass action heroes fighting off the forces of evil! Yeah, that’s this. Up to and including being action figures.

The game’s aesthetics is cozy – the art is simple but the hand-drawn visuals contribute so much to the overall atmosphere of the game and fits so well. I love the artistic freedom you have to customize so many aspects of the game ranging from your clothes (character design) to environment. You literally get to shape and mold how you want Picnic to look like (given early on you have a set of presets to choose from depending on the area). However, what makes Chicory: A Colorful Tale such a memorable game is the simple, yet so meaningful story and message it conveys alongside with the beautiful original soundtrack.
