My Yandere Sister loves me too much my little brother’s coworkers are a bad influence on him! Always inviting him to mixers and telling him stuff like “its weird that you let your sister feed you lunch” or “siblings shouldn’t walk around holding hands, acting all lovey-dovey“. I can’t have them getting in the way of my relationship with my precious brother by filling his head with this nonsense. Even worse are the sneaky women at his office who try to chat him up when I’m not around! It would be better if he didn’t have to go to work and just let me take care of him then nobody will get in my way and I’ll have him all to myself, the way it should be! Your step elder sister Airi is the embodiment of ideal women as she very kindly takes care of everything about you like housework, private tutoring and so forth. But you come to think that it is overindulgence of spoiling kind so you set your mind to take some distance from her. Then Airi’s too heavy and deep love drives herself into a crazy thoughts that finally she confines you. In this isolated place in where she took you apart from “causal agents”, her psycho kind of love goes further mad as she takes total care of you ranging from basic daily needs to various sexual treatments.
The first few hours I understand this opinion: the game world is huge and detailed, the graphics charm you, the ship voyages are fun, there are horses (any game in which you can ride horses is basically good) and the characters are acceptable, but… yes, exactly, BUT: After a few hours, the facade crumbles. Maybe you are spoiled by The Witcher and other games, but at some point this great playground turns into a boring sandbox. I find myself skipping dialogs, getting upset why I have to run from A to B for nothing to bring someone something that I don’t even know what anymore, because it doesn’t interest me either. The controls for climbing are sometimes a bit choppy, especially when climbing down and in caves. The enemies level up with you. This has advantages but also disadvantages. If an enemy is too hard for me, I can’t put it off until later like in other games, because it doesn’t get easier later (unless you have skills that make it easier later).
Don’t get me wrong: The game is, as I said, great and has its moments, but it doesn’t sweep you off your feet story-wise and you get lost in all the strands. The “aha” moment is gone. And it’s not like Ubi doesn’t manage to surprise anymore. Far Cry 6 was good again after all the disasters that came after the third part. Decent game. Don’t pay full price for it, get it on sale and also don’t do too many in-game missions unless you wanna risk getting burnt out. The world is massive and although it’s all gorgeous and there’s tons of stuff to do, just like any other Ubisoft game it can get repetitive very, very quickly. Story is good, characters are good, voice acting is great especially for Kassandra. Also you get to meet Herodotus which is cool.
