The fonts look nice, are easily readable and the text is housed well on a postcard type background. The character’s faces are displayed on the right-hand side whilst your choices are on the left. The choices are designed to look like stamps, which was a nice touch, and you can preview your answers before submitting them.
Over The Alps Pre-Installed:
The second playthrough (if you so wish) will be exactly the same story but with slightly different outcomes if you choose different answers. It was a shame that I didn’t know the game mechanics from the start as I feel that my first and most important playthrough I was still discovering what I needed to do. The story takes two hours to complete and is quite exciting. The use of vocabulary and the manner in which the story is told in short lines creates pace and keeps the plot refreshing. There isn’t a great deal of characters, but the ones we encounter are all interesting and developed well. I really liked the look and feel of the game. It felt much more interesting and atmospheric than most visual novels I have played. There are some background noises on each scene whilst you read the dialogue, representing the place where you are.
