About The Game
Set amidst a surreal dreamscape filled with long-abandoned ruins of great civilizations past, you play as Rei, a Voidrunner determined to stop at nothing to save her planet from falling prey to the Ultravoid’s path of eternal hunger. Fight through mobs of grotesque creatures, grind rails with sheer delight, grapple to wild heights, take down enormous bosses, and surf the ashen clouds of shattered, bygone worlds swallowed by the void. This game is a Zachtronic wannabe. It’s not as good as the Zachtronic games (Shenzhen IO and TIS-100 are strictly better than this game).This game allows you to make small programs in an assembly-like language. It’s pretty annoying that you have to use the mouse to make all the software. The registers are all numbered, but you can’t even pick an operand register by typing a number; you MUST click on the register with the mouse. A fun little exercise in learning the basics of how a computer operates. To clarify, this is less about coding in the way most modern coding languages do, and closer to how computers work when writing raw assembly code. You can’t really define variables and functions, you’re stuck with very basic boolean logic and a heaping helping of GoTo/jump functions. The puzzle difficulty starts pretty basic but also starts scaling up quite a bit late game such that I had absolutely no idea how to reliably complete the bonus objectives (complete the mission with a certain amount of speed/fileSize) after a while no matter how hard I thought about them.
