Spellbook Demonslayers Direct Download
Spellbook Demonslayers is a roguelite horde survival game inspired by Vampire Survivors and Path of Exile : Choose your character, combine new spells & upgrades each run to defeat thousands of demons, then use your rewards to become stronger & faster. Your spells are cast automatically, so you can get straight into the demon-slaying action! Perhaps a little on the easier side of the spectrum, stat meta-upgrades are rather inexpensive. Second-to-second gameplay is exciting, though the enemy hitboxes seem to be rather forgiving to the player, allowing them to sneak by without much concern. Some weapons can be optionally aimed with mouse controls, which isn’t common in this genre – I would qualify this as a pro. The highlight of the game would probably be the shrine system, which occasionally gives you a buff and an opportunity to earn a buff for staying in a location and killing a scaling number of enemies in a set amount of time. It’s exciting when these opportunities pop up, but the excitement is perhaps dulled somewhat in that I have never failed one in the first hour/first two stages I’ve played.
The game is simply really fun. The gameplay loop is fun and there are lots of upgrades, achievements and unlocks. There are only 4 weapon slots but passive abilities having no limit is really nice and weapon abilities are good enough that 4 is mostly enough. I would like to see 1-2 more weapon slots in the future. One thing that’s really cool is the UI, the UI is super clean on every aspect. I really like the shrine mechanic too. If you can kill certain number of monsters while being inside the shrine aura, you get a buff (or for a certain shrine you get a shop/illegal upgrades). The only thing that can be worked on is the monster and elite monster variety. Another thing that’s really cool is that when you finish the map timer, the game gives you 3 choices on how to continue the run. There are 2 endless choices and one timed-wave type of choice which is awesome. Endless runs are extra fun and you can go crazy with the passive abilities.
Spellbook Demonslayers Direct Play:
Been playing a bunch of these types of games, and am an avid Path of Exile player, seeing VS and PoE in the about me tab made me get the game. And for 2 dollars, it was worth it. Has a lot of build variety with plenty of abilities that vary mechanically. Hoping the developer adds different character models. But i like the idea of the books being the differing factor. the spells offer a unique game play loop where you could do 4 slots of ONE spell or you can mix and match them so seeing how far you can get with each set of spells is compelling. The additional element of aura passives and the ILLEGAL shop adding further options keeps each run fresh. You can tailor your initial impression of the game by increasing speed and scaling the game via the malice component FROM THE BEGINNING so if it is too easy or too slow you can immediately give yourself the bump or keep it easy if you’re having a hard time from the very beginning. Nearly all spell types and spell sets are viable even into the overtime mode, the trick is getting the passives to make it work. The Upgrade menu allows you to further customize your builds by removing “over level” passives or other stats, so you can really tweak how your current or future runs will play out.
