You can play on your own but would you play real mini golf on your own? Probably not and as such this game shines brightest shared with friends. The base game has 8 courses with 18 holes that have easy and hard layouts. The creativity that went into their designs is just beautiful. The Devs are highly active and release new DLC courses on a regular basis. So far there’s 5 additional DLC courses with another 4 on the way.

When the Devs release a new course, my group of 4 plays it immediately on release day. I’ve never been so excited to spend 3 dollars on something. Easy money to spend that keeps an active and receptive Developer working on new content. We love that every course, whether the base game or DLC, has an easy and hard layout. Every course has 18 hidden balls to find, and the foxhunt, which awards you with a unique putter. I’m hoping the Devs will make a regular golf game at some point, because I love the physics and feel. Best multi-player VR game you can buy. Walkabout is a very chill game to play with friends. It does a very good job of capturing that classic minigolf feel in VR with a lot of excellent ‘VR only’ additions. Up to 8 friends can play together and it’s a ton of fun just to chill and enjoy an hour or two putting around very neat arenas. The custom ball and fox (putter) hunt is also a fun side item to engage in and provides a pleasing reward to explore the environments beyond the simple putting green.
