Warstride: Challenges is a speedrunning FPS game where you are given multiple short levels to grind away and race for that top spot on the leaderboard. The game is fast, its brutal, and incredibly satisfying watching your rank slowly increase each time you replay a level, and most importantly, Its addicting. Fans of Seum and Cyberhook will feel right at home here. Despite only being Early Access, I can attest this game has a ton of content for you to grind away for, and it runs phenomenally. I’ve been working with these devs as a beta tester since August, and it has been one of the best experiences Ive had with a Dev team. They’ve been receptive to change, quick to fix bugs we’ve found, and very interactive in the discord. I’ve never worked with a team who has been this involved with the community, and it gives me incredible hope for the future of this game.
Warstride Challenges Direct Play:
I enjoyed the gameplay so much that I didn’t notice how I passed all the available levels in one playing session. The levels are not few, and each one has an alternate version with a more challenging route. Along with the “story” there are various bonus levels and challenges, as well as a workshop where you can make your own level. I think this game is very accessible but has an extraordinarily high skill ceiling. Seeing some of the speedruns of levels like 1-4 genuinely hurts my brain a little bit. The way the community has wrung the mechanics in game out for all they’re worth in these speedruns is frankly absurd, and very impressive.
