Physics bending gameplay on a world of changing gravity Decipher audio based puzzles to hear the voices of the past Decode video recordings to uncover clues Defend yourself from the aggressive dead with air powered weaponry 4-6 hours of gameplay The whole “phrase placement” puzzle that’s very prominent and important is tough af and could be more streamlined, perhaps the same way the songs are used by isolating the correct phrase in the correct place from further movement instead of having to reconfigure ten phrases into something coherent; the idea of 100% correct only is agonizing for game play. I easily spent a good three hours additional just trying to finagle the phrases into the correct position. The mystery/story was compelling enough for me to finish it which is more then i can say for 80% of games in my library. I found the combat to be not great not terrible i found myself missing certain lines of phrases during combat encounters and i had to backtrack towards the end of the game which killed the pacing a bit.

I think however that relative short length of the game was a good choice. Nothing overstays it’s welcome and it does not become tedious. I was surprised they were making a 3rd Sylvio game. I really enjoyed this one. I highly recommend playing the first two before playing this one otherwise you will be confused. The game is DARK but I think I understand the developers intentions pretty easily. Just follow the lights it won’t steer you wrong. The ambient music is great, the combat is an absolute dumpster fire. I may turn off enemy encounters on my next playthrough just because of how clunky and ridiculous it is. That being said, this games pretty nice. It has this very moody vibe the entire time as you try to piece together what happened to the 18 humans and the astronauts that visited this alien planet.
