The Night is Grey Graham is alone in a forest filled with strange wolves. While he’s fleeing for his life he finds a lost girl in an abandoned lodge that won’t survive without his help. Try to find their way to safety in this game filled with puzzles, engaging dialogue and innovative storyline. But watch out: not everything is what it seems. As Graham, we find ourselves in a forest occupied by wolves. These aren’t the Disney type they’ll eat your face off. So, with only one direction to go, we stumble upon a child left alone in a house and promptly befriend her and Mr Shotgun Without covering everything in The Night Is Grey, you need to get the child, Hannah (along with Storky, her stuffed animal) to safety, returning her to her estranged grandparents on the other side of the forest. We don’t see that other side yet; The Night Is Grey isn’t a talkie as all dialogue is to be read and not acted out. That’s fine, as you can create whatever tone of voice you think Graham has.

A cinematic thriller told through the classic perspective of point & click adventure games He’s got low self-esteem and put himself down a little too much for my liking ( but he’s likeable and relatable too. The Night is Grey takes around 40 minutes to play through and sees you solving some classic point and click adventure style puzzles as you try to look for an alternate route and help the little girl. The puzzles are all well crafted and logical, but you can turn on a hint mode that highlights hotspots if you get stuck. Everything about The Night is Grey oozes quality. The frame by frame character animation and the digitally painted environments are incredible and the original orchestrated music score makes the game feel very cinematic. Perhaps most importantly (as you’ll be spending a lot of time with them) the characters are very well written too, with Graham being quite sensible while having a good sense of humor.

Character animations were painstakingly drawn frame by frame. Each animation is 12 frames per second, giving it that classical 2D animations feel. and the kid having just the right amount of childish petulance and exuberance to make her endearing. It makes for a fantastic point and click adventure that already feels like a classic. By the end you’ll be dying to know what’s really going on in those woods. Highly recommended. DIGITALLY PAINTED ANIMATED BACKGROUNDS Over 50 different locations were painted by hand and individually rearranged and animated. resulting in animated panoramic backgrounds that will suck you in. FULLY ORIGINAL AND ORCHESTRATED MUSIC SCORE Our soundtrack was purposefully created to amplify the game’s storytelling. All tracks were recorded in studio with different compositions that make the songs dynamic throughout the game. The Night is Grey is a hand-drawn and story rich point & click adventure game.
