I enjoy loading up Coffee Talk 2 in the morning with my own coffee or tea, setting the dialogue to auto, and getting through an in-game day.
Ursine Science Pre-Installed:
Both games are open-world investigations that involve both collecting evidence from crime scenes and using their respective city’s archives for research; however, the streamline has been streamlined in Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, reducing much of the back-and-forth busywork that made The Sinking City exasperating in its worst moments. One could be forgiven for feeling like Oakmont’s drenched streets ran together, but Cordona’s districts all feel unique and, though not necessarily “alive” per se, certainly more vibrant and engaging. Additionally, much of the improved quality of life has to do with the introduction of more bespoke narrative content and a de-emphasis on open-world exploration.
